A Monster On Mummy!!

*sobs*

It was so horrible. There was a big monster on mums tummy tonight, i was scared to hop on her because it was just so big and horrifying! I got Cookie to help me find a picture:
Isn't it just awful!! I hope mummy finds a way to get rid of it, because i want to be able to hop on her shoulder for cuddles, but i just can't with that scary thing looking at me! See how big it's eyes are? There's no way i could sneak past it unharmed!

New Friend!

Guess what everyone! There's a new budgie in town.

Tonight when we all came out to play i discovered a cage on Aunt Bea's desk, and in that cage is a green budgie who i've been told is named Tiggy! I'm so excited because he's small, just like me! I went into his cage and said hello to him, he seems like a nice bloke. Stupid Uncle Blinkie is being a real butthead though, he won't stop head bopping at Tiggy, i think it's scaring the poor guy! If i didn't know any better i would say Uncle Blinkie thinks Tiggy is a GIRL!

With happy thoughts at a new friend!

Happy Birthday To Me

Seems i'm gonna have to make this post myself! Hmph!

Yesterday was my second birthday, i got a lot of unwanted kisses from mum and some MUCH loved millet, i guess the millet outweighed the kisses, so it wasn't too bad. Blinkie and Fizzy were a bit rude though, they didn't even let me have first go at the salad bowl at breakfast time. I was nice to Blinkie on his birthday!

Here's a photo of me looking handsome as usual, but now i'm a big two year old!
With bitter thoughts at Blinkie, and sweet thoughts of millet, mmmm...

The Feathered Army Has Shrunk

My loyal followers! I, Lord Blinkie, have some sad news!

As everyone should know by now, i am aiming to build an army of birds to take over the world, with me as world leader of course! Well i managed to recruit two new cockatiel members the past three weeks, Banjo and Sunny, but sadly it seems mummy has cottoned on to my plot and removed them to lessen the number by which us feathered ones outnumber the humans. It's just not fair! Just when you think you're getting somewhere, the humans go and mess things up.

I sure hope mum plans to make this up to me sometime. Back to plotting with Ozzie i guess.

Who Changed The View?

It would seem to me, all you feather brains out there, that our mum is magic!

Usually when i look out the window by the cage, i see a green forest with lots of leaves. But today, in the short space of just 15 minutes, mum made it completely vanish and the view has completely changed!! It's just unbelievable. I can see big, coloured monsters on wheels roll noisily down past the house, and i can see people coming and going from the front door! Things will certainly be more interesting from my favourite swing from now on!

I wonder what view mum will choose next time?

With wonder and awe,

My Poor Cookie

I write to you, my feathered friend, with great worry in my head.

Last night my beautiful Cookie was vomitting seed on the play gym. Some even landed on my but that's ok because it was from my Cookie. Afterwards i sat with Cookie for the rest of the night and told her she would be ok. I tried to make her happy by singing to her but she was too tired to be impressed (otherwise i know she would've been...she would!) and so i just sat with her.

At bed time my awful mummy tried to take Cookie away from me, she said something about not wanting to spread germs, but i just cried until mummy brought Cookie back to me. Today she seems to be a bit better, but i have to be really careful to make sure mummy doesn't try to take her away again. My beak has been sharpened specially in case i need it.

With worry and a slash of my razor sharp beak,

Why Won't He Love Me Back?

*sigh* I'm feeling particularly down today my feathered readers!

The love of my life, Oswald the Budgie, won't even give me a chance. Why wasn't i hatched a budgie? Maybe then he would fancy me. I've been following him all afternoon and he just keeps flying away and talking to the other budgie boys. I gave myself an extra long and careful preen this morning, so i'm sure i don't smell or have any feathers out of place! I just wish i knew how i could catch his eye.

Love You Cookie

Ahh, how i love her soft grey feathers and deep, dark brown eyes.

I've loved my darling Cookie from the very minute i set eyes on her. For some reason, i really don't know why, she has never returned my feelings. Despite this i persistently sing her pretty songs and give her kisses, sometimes she head butts me which i think means she likes me, but then she bites me, so i don't know what she's doing there. Anyway, look at this photo, can't you see we were made for each other?

What A Mummy's Boy!

My friends, you'll never believe what i have to tell you about Blinkie.

This is a matter that has been annoying me for the last couple of months, since i moved in with Blinkie and Ozzie. Would you believe that every single night Blinkie has to have a good night kiss from his mummy or else he'll whine and refuse to sleep! It's sickening. No matter what time of the night Aunt Bea is going to bed, Blinkie will run over to the uncovered side of the cage and start jumping about and chirping, and of course she comes running over and gives him about a million kisses. More than once i've had to break up the smooch-fest just so i could get some sleep!!

So to all you ladies out there who thought Blinkie was just THE man, forget it! I on the other hand, am extremely manly *wink wink*.

With gelled up feathers, and a gleam in my eye,

A Big Day Coming Up!

Hey all you fans out there!

GUESS WHAT?! Mum has been telling me that a very important day is coming up soon! Do you want to know what it is? It's my third birthday! And do you know what that means? It means mummy is going to give me lots of kisses and treats and attention. Ahhh, i do love birthdays!

I've also heard a rumour that Oswald is going to be turning two very soon, and Fizzy will be turning one! I hope they plan to share their pressies with me!

With big birthday plans,

Busy Beaks Food Critics

Well this afternoon mum gave us some birdie bread for a snack. Here's what everyone thought of it.Friend of the flock, Sunny, probably wouldn't care if mum served us dog vomit in a bowl, but he was extremely eager about this new food and quickly spread the word about this tasty treat.
His Royal Blinkiness, upon seeing Sunny's enjoyment of the bread, also gave it the peck of approval. He ate his fill before running over to torment Gracie with his seductive head bopping and beak bashing.
Fizzy was also happy with this meal, although his eating style was rather unique. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets indigestion from eating like that, and i sure won't be rubbing his belly for him!
Cookie is keen on any food, and Bailee is keen on Cookie, so two pecks of approval from these guys.
Gracie managed to sneak a bite too while mum distracted Blinkie for a few minutes. I know she's a cockatiel, but sometimes i feel sorry for her. No girl should have to tolerate Blinkie!

And I, Oswald, honestly wasn't interested. After that stunt mum pulled with sneaking the baby corn into our salad yesterday, who knows what she's put in this loaf of birdie bread. It's simply not worth the risk!

Complaint for the Cook!

You wouldn't believe the traumatic experience i had this morning when i went to the food bowl for breakfast!

The past week the cook has been providing us with a rather tasty layered salad full of all kinds of goodies, but today....it was different! Instead of cucumber like last week, there was baby corn! I just don't know why she would do a thing like that without warning me first. I've been dealing with the stress of it all day long!

Maybe she will give me some tasty millet to make up for the change....mmmmm, millet....

With a rumble in my tummy and millet on my mind,

Mr Ozzie Oswald

The Idiot I Live With

Some days i wish mum never bought me a "friend", she must have picked the dumbest baby in the whole bunch, and now i'm stuck with him for the rest of my life!

Would you believe i've just spent the last half hour sitting on my favourite chair, preening to make myself beautiful for my love, Ozzie, and the WHOLE time Mr "Loser" Bailee sat there making siren sounds in my ear. Why would he think i want my ears ringing for the rest of the night?? Why???All i want out of life is to settle down with Ozzie (if only he would notice me, maybe if i lost the crest he'd think i were a budgie) and have some lovely little budgi-tiels. *sigh*

Changes to MY Bedroom!

Well my friends, my mummy has been busy today and i'm not so sure i'm happy about it.

Today i watched while mummy moved my cage around, and she made the walls look different. Before there were pictures of this weird yellow square guy and his pink star shaped friend, but now there's some guy with long hair and facial hair i would like to pluck out. At least she's put up a few photos of me too, but i still don't like her changing things without my permission. Several times i flew over and told her, right in her face, that i wanted her to stop, but she just wouldn't listen to me (i suppose it would help if i tweeted in human)! It's my bedroom too and i think i should have some say in how it looks. I think i better start a group night fright tonight just to make a point!

Too Sexy For My Feathers

I write to you, my feathery readers, as a rather bothered cockatiel!

Everyone knows the song that goes "I'm, too sexy for my feathers, too sexy for my beak, etc etc" (well i think that's how it goes anyway, that's how Blinkie sings it), well it seems to be true in my case. I have to spend a lot of time sitting on mum's lap to hide from Blinkie who seems to be obsessed with me. I don't know why he bothers, because i'm just not into budgies, their lack of a crest is a real turn off to me. Not to mention he clearly only has one thing on his small mind!! Boys...!

Maybe i should stop preening and just let myself go, i wonder if that would put him off?

With irritation and newly messed feathers,

Gracie

The Slave Has Been Busy

To all you birds reading this, i bet you are so jealous of us right now!

Our human slave was put to work yesterday creating us some new toys to destroy right before her eyes! She put up quite a fight, but we warned her that if she didn't give us more toys to chew we would start using her fingers instead....mwahahahaaa.

Under our watchful eyes, our slave worked hard for over an hour and boy did she do some good work. I can't wait to get my beak into these toys!

I wonder just how much mess i can produce in chewed up paper...

With thoughts of trouble and mayhem,

Our Lazy Mum!

Hello fellow feather-butts!

I write to you all from my mums computer, i have hypnotized her to type for me seeing as my lean and muscular 40g of weight can't press the keys.

Well if you ask me, mum has been a bit slack the last couple of days! I swear i didn't get as much time out of my cage as i should have yesterday. Sure, she's been sniffling and coughing and spluttering like she's about to drop off her perch, but that's just no excuse! I need a chance to get out and cause mayhem every single day, and i need more than just one hour like i got yesterday. Geez, when will mum learn that sickness does not excuse her from having to pamper us? If she doesn't get her act together soon, i might just start looking for a new house! A world famous budgie like myself would have no trouble, i'm quite certain!

With frustration and ruffled feathers,

His Royal Blinkiness
